Cruisin' Sherwood
It's
that
time of year again, where the hot rods, custom and classic cars
converge in downtown Sherwood for the annual Cruisin'! This year, we
brought out the Great Northern F7 locomotive #274, gave cab tours,
presented the latest developments and answered questions about ORHF.
Despite the usual June showers, the event turned out to be popular and
fun!
Some people ask, what
does ORHF have to do with Sherwood?
Outreach. The Cruisin' Sherwood event has railroad tracks running right
down the middle of the show, and a volunteer who's a Sherwood resident
felt that something was missing. It seemed fitting to take one of the
historic locomotives and train to the show to add to the nostolgic
atmosphere, while yet doing outreach about ORHF's mission. It's a
win-win!
